Bands Worth Looking Out For
Hoobustank This
band is from San Diego in California. I think they sound a lot like
Incubus. They sure have a lot in common. Being from California being one,
they tour together, similar lyrics, the lead singers sound startling
close...... hm. They both refer to the audience as "guys" ex.

Why do guys with amazing singing voices tend to be lanky and fragile looking? no point here if you're wondering.. just an observation |

Incubus This is probably my favorite band. Every album that they have come out with has had different style which has led me getting into a lot of other types of music. They have no commitment to any type of music, so their music is always fresh and different. Every album they have is awesome, so you can't go wrong getting their stuff. God Lives Underwater I would classify
these guys as Industrial Rock except they are more mellow than other bands
from their genre, and yes, they rock ass. :) Factory81 This band has a
very original sound. Their music hits pretty hard and is quite melodic in
areas. If you like Tool, Mudvayne, etc, I would really recommend this.
They rule. DJ Shadow Man, this guy is
awesome. I kept thinking he was cool even after I found out that he's a
middle-aged fat white guy, but whatever. He mainly plays around with
prerecorded sounds and creatively mixes them into songs. Sounds a little
cheesey from here, but you have to hear it... Amazing Hooverphonic This is a Belgian trio and sometimes quartet. They are very popular and played a lot in parts of Europe. They are sort of like trance. They call it Trip-Hop. They sometimes tour with Massive Attack. Massive Attack I never get
tired of listening to this band. If you're listening to them, make sure
your speakers can accomodate for highs and lows, and everything in
between. They are trance, I think. Check them out Bjork Nice picture, huh? She has another one of her hugging herself, but I thought that would be overdoing it and breaking my trend of having 2 pictures per band. She is probably the most peculiar woman I've ever seen. You can sort of think of her as the female equivalent to Depeche Mode. She has a very soft, girly, and beautiful voice which can quickly turn into something much more rancid. I like her though. |
